Terms of use

1. Scope. These terms govern the use of the mavielocale.ch website and its pages in French, English and German. By using the site, you accept them. The French version prevails.

2. Service. mavielocale.ch makes a calendar of public events in the canton of Vaud available to the public free of charge, consolidated from public sources (websites of municipalities, associations, cultural venues and organisers). The service is provided “as is”; we strive to keep it available and up to date, without any guarantee of availability, completeness or accuracy.

3. Event information. Information is taken as published by its sources, on the date shown on each event page (“seen on …”), and then summarised by us. The organiser remains solely responsible for the event, how it is run, its prices and its conditions of admission. Check with the organiser before travelling or buying a ticket. mavielocale.ch is neither an organiser, nor a ticket office, nor an intermediary.

4. Use of the site. You may browse the site, share links to its pages and reuse the facts it contains (dates, venues, prices) for your own purposes, crediting the source. The following are prohibited: systematic reproduction of the consolidated mavielocale.ch database by automated means for competing republication without our written consent; any use that disrupts the operation of the site; any use contrary to the law. Search-engine crawlers are welcome within the limits of our robots.txt file.

5. Intellectual property. See the legal notice (“Copyright”). The summaries, translations and structure of the site are protected; reproducing them beyond private use and quotation (art. 19 and 25 of the Swiss Copyright Act, CopA) requires our consent.

6. Reporting and removal. An organiser, a municipality or any person concerned may request the correction or removal of an event, or the exclusion of a website from our collection, as described on the “Report or remove” page. We handle requests within five working days.

7. Advertising. Banners are clearly identified. mavielocale.ch is not responsible for the content of advertisers’ websites.

8. Liability. To the extent permitted by law, mavielocale.ch disclaims all liability for direct or indirect damage arising from the use of the site, from inaccurate information or from unavailability of the service. Liability for gross negligence or wilful misconduct remains reserved (art. 100 of the Swiss Code of Obligations, CO).

9. Data protection. See the privacy policy.

10. Changes. We may change the site and these terms at any time; the version published on the site, with its update date, prevails.

11. Applicable law and jurisdiction. Swiss law; place of jurisdiction [Localité du siège], canton of Vaud, subject to mandatory places of jurisdiction.

This English version is provided for convenience. In case of discrepancy, the French version prevails.
